Default Spare tire lock

Anyone have an easy way to get the key hole unstuck? I've had the truck for about 2 months ( bought used ) but I don't think the key was ever used to unlock it. Appreciate the help

Crawl under and look at it. There is a e clip that holds on a u shaped metal plate
Remove the e clip and then the plate and the rest should just slide out of the bumper.

They are usually rusted/gummed up on the side where the clip is and keeps the key from turning.
You can spray the back side with lubricant and see if it helps.
