Default Spare

Why is it so hard to find a spare wheel? I'd like to find one like the other four but even an unmatched rim is like gold?

I don't know where you've looked. It's been a while since I bought a spare rim, so prices are probably a lot higher. I've gotten acceptedle deals at a junk yard and at Discount Tire. They sell takeoffs.

I've been looking mostly at Ebay and similar. There isn't many yards near me.

Wonder about a mount for a spare besides under in the crap.

I assume you're trying to find a spare, in the style of your main wheels? not a standard steel replacement?

Yes but I would settle for a steel spare. Price is an issue!

I could swear any pick n pull would have a suitably size steel in their front offices for pretty cheap prices, where have you looked?

I would think you could find a matching wheel at a junk yard. I've done it before for other vehicles .

the wheel shown above is what came on my 2012 STX.

Couple dozen in MI & maybe another 20 in OH:

You can always have the wheel shipped if not in driving distance

Thanks for that link but I see prices that are way high. I bought a wheel for my Mustang that was 1/2 their prices.

Well then, it's not that you can't find a wheel, it's just that you want one for free.
