Default SOS: 2013 Dumping Coolant

So noticed a spot in front of truck this morning and noticed it had a red-orange tint. So now that my curiosity peaked I checked and noticed the coolant reservoir was low. And after I opened the cap more coolant dumped in the floor.

After getting under truck and looking around I noticed a drip coming from a upper radiator hose right at front of engine. Seems like the seal is no good there and it drips constantly. I'll attach a picture of the location

so I need help determining my next move. Any help is appreciated

It's dripping right at the front of the line where you can see my fingers were

Looks like the o-ring seal on the upper rad hose is gone. You can replace the seal or get a new hose.

I think you're right. I disconnected the line cleaned around it some but when I reattached it still had a drip

i went ahead and ordered a new upper hose. Any tips for changing it out and dealing with the coolant?

You can drain the radiator pretty easily on the passenger side, there's a drain petcock there and nipple you can put a hose on. Make sure you pickup a jug of Ford Specialty Orange coolant while you're at the dealer so you can top off the coolant with the right stuff. FYI you can replace the o-ring by itself if you'd like rather than the whole hose. Also, watch that wye adapter that the hose connects to. There's an o-ring in that part that goes bad too but you can't just buy the o-ring for that one.

I had the same problem with my 13' f150 5.0. I took off the upper main radiator hose and looked inside. There is a o-ring inside that usually goes flat, it is supposed to be round. I went to the dealer and got this part (BC3Z8590F). It was $3.80. Take out the old one ring and replace. It fixed my problem. Try this before buying expensive parts. Good luck.

Thanks for all the help fellas. Had the day off so went ahead and picked up an o-ring and replaced the old one (which was flat and no longer cylindrical). Topped of the coolant and fired it up. Looks like the drip has been stopped
