I had the same issue and the parts stores were closed for the holidays and I needed my truck so I sealed it up with some rtv. No dripping so far, ill probably pick up the actual Oring to have incase this fails.

Same issue was going on for me with places closed. Was able to get the o-ring the other day and so sending the hose I got from RockAuto back. But it's a very quick job besides a little bit of a mess

Yeah I didn't feel like flushing everything from the radiator and putting good stuff in if it didn't hold up, so I just removed the hose and let it pour out (seemed like forever) and then topped it off with premixed stuff just as a temporary "make sure it holds before I fill up with all the good stuff". Seems good so far, probably fine throughout the winter with it being cold and driving short distances. I'll have the good stuff in by spring time.

Default 2012 f150 fx4 5.0

I too had the same problem. I bought an o-ring from Ford, replaced it just to find out that the leak had moved almost instantly. Ended up having to drain the coolant again to replace the T connector. So after 2 trips to Ford, which is about a 30 min drive and 3 gallons of antifreeze later, problem seems to be fixed. The t-connector cost me about $70 at ford. Of course, no other auto parts store had one, only Ford

So do you need 2 of these? One for upper and one for lower hoses? Or actually 4?

Is there any way to use a pipe fitting in place of the plastic and use SS hose clamps on it for a permanent fix ??? (maybe use fittings to build the part to fit?

The orings that folks are replacing to stop the leak. If I see the diagram correctly, there is one on each end, upper and lower?

There are 3 ends to a T/Y connector.

You should check out the thread I've referenced recently. It lists the required o-rings. Thermostat side is 31mm, hose side is 37mm. The thermostat side is usually the problem, FYI.

Ford sells the larger ring for around $5-10, but not the smaller one. The thread lists a good source for appropriate rings, i spent very little and bought 4 of each size.
