Default soot on bumper

I have 11k miles on my truck. I have had my truck to the shop a few times for multiple issues. now I seen the other night that my bumper is black from the exhaust. My truck is white so it looks like hell. I tried last night to get it off and I got some but I could not get the rest off.

I am about ready to shove this thing up somebody's ****. I will try to post a pic.

would my truck running rich or plugs have something to do with it?

Sounds like its running rich. I hear most ecoboosts do this at the beginning. Its supposed to go away, anytime soon based on your mileage. Mine did the same, I have silver and there would be soot on bumper sometimes. I never narrowed down when it was worse, it just went away.

here is a pic... it doenst show real good but there is a lot of baked on greasy soot on there. this pic was taken today. I spit polished the truck yesterday and worked for over a half hour on this spot alone.

the specs are 'new soot' from driving about 15 miles to work this morning.

Bad gas and running rich. the computer is trying to adjust for it
use some type of gas cleaner
see if that helps maybe
octane boost additive

Probably the ethanol in the gas. Direct injection motors usually have a little soot
