Question Softer suspension upgrade without a lift...

I would like to upgrade my suspension to something a bit softer to soak up bumps and rocks better. Sorta like FOX but I dont want to lift any if at all. I drive a 2013 F-150 FX4, any other info yall need let me know. Im sure this has been done cause the suspension is pretty stiff.

I don't think your going to be able to soften up the ride very much. Personally my 12 FX4 rides pretty darn good for a truck. The rear still uses leaf springs so I suspect you would need to drop $$$$ just to get modest improvements.

As Vette10R said tires make a big difference so make sure you're running P-Metrics and not LTs.

Before you can really determine how you can soften up your suspension you need to know what you already have, how many leafs are in the spring pack of your rear leaf springs?

Also what's your budget for this? Are you trying to do it the best way possible and spend upwards of $3000 or are you trying to keep this a sub $1000 project?

All of the lifting shocks can also be set at zero lift.

Swap out your 20 rims for 17. While I think 20s look the best, 17 inch rims and tires would ride softer because theres more sidewall to absorb, hence Raptor feels softer.

What is your overall budget?

If you have the $$, I would definitely go with a set of Coilovers...King, Fox, Icon etc...

If you are on a budget, Bilstein 5100's.

I would stay away from a spacer especially if you are looking to go softer.

I can answer any of your questions and get you a set of King's as well!

Not to revive a dead thread, but...

Sulastic Springs. http://sulastic.com/

It can even lower the truck a bit.
