Default DDMTuning HID Order

Just ordered HIDs from DDM tuning lastnight and got an email today saying they shipped today and will be here on Wednesday. Also got the tracking number from FedEx so maybe the 35W 5K for headlight and fog are not behind in production.

What all do you have to order to make them work? Just the kit itself or the HID Harness and error code eliminator? Also, whats the differece between the 35 and 55 watt kits? Thanks!

BIG difference in output between 35w and 55w. Either way, the harness is a good idea but its almost a requirement if you go with the 55w like I did. It prevents voltage loss due to old/corroded wires in the car/trucks wiring harness that happens with age and it also prevents old alternators from hindering your light output too much. It supplies voltage to the ballasts directly from the battery and has a relay on it so that your lights still operate off the switched power from the factory.

Are there any noteable advantages of 55W 8000k over 35W 6000k? Apparently they have the same color... the 55w is just brighter?

The 55w output kit is likely to get you pulled over as the lumen output is much higher than what is allowed by law in most states.

35w kits in oem headlamps produce glare and can get you pulled over in certain states like Iowa.

^ This is true.

I should add that I am running my setup in my wife's Mazda 6 with OEM Projectors. This helps the light distribution ALOT.

considering the output I get from my 35W, I wouldn't recommend the 55W....does heat play a factor there also??
