Default So, will I regret going to a smaller tire size?

Here's my dilemma-

I currently have BFG All Terrain TA's (305/65/18) with a 2.5" spacer and 3" blocks. I'm really interested in trying out the Duratrac's but the closest size is 295/65/18. I know we're only talking 1/2" difference but I would hate for them to look too small on my truck.

My main concerns are looks and ride/performance. I'm not concerned with how long they'll last because the truck will be traded in before they'll wear out.

Also, does anyone have the weights of the two tires handy?

Thoughts?

a 1/2" isn't going to make much difference imo, you'll barely notice it. it will only be 1/4" height difference.

I am also interested in this, would love to see a photo of a screw 4x4 on this size duratrac. I currently have 34" nitto trail grapplers (295/70/18) but want to go to a softer/lighter/smaller tire for improved ride and fuel economy on my next set. Have heard great things about the duratracs and they still look pretty aggressive too which i love

The BFG's have a little over 50K on them so I'm getting close. I don't like them to get too far worn before changing. I'm just really curious about the Duratrac's...wondering if they'll be a little softer on the road.

For me, that would be a big mistake.

I just went from 18 to 20s. The difference in look was major. Pissed that I didn't get the 20s when I bought the truck in the first place.

Downsize the blocks and spacers at the same time. The narrower tires will throw less gunk up on the side of your truck.

Should be an improvement in several ways.

Lol, I'm the opposite. Currently have 20s and would rather have 18s (possibly even 17s) just for more tire options when I need to replace them.
