So much misinformation on the Web. But, if you post a pic of Brand B on a Brand A forum, I guess you're just asking for it.
Go over to dodgetalk, tell them you're trading off your FIAT, and see what they say to you

Man buying my Ram 1500 was my biggest vehicle mistake I ever made.

I went the other way. Sold my 2013 Cummins for the F150. Best decision I ever made. Spent more time at the dealer than on the road. What a piece of sh*t.

How do you figure Fiat has nothing to do with Ram Trucks, Fiat Owns Ram so they seem to have their fingers there and it was the CEO of Fiat that took the Ram division and Separated it from Dodge if I remember right.
BTW I have nothing against either one, Ram (Dodge) or Cummins just would never own either one again.

BTW to the OP, Nice truck.

Because the current Ram trucks were engineered, designed, and built when Daimler was still partners with Chrysler. Just because Fiat decided to throw money down on the company a few years ago doesn't mean the trucks automatically became Fiat trucks. It would be like if McD's bought out Burger King and kept the Whopper on the menu. Does that mean the Whopper is a McD's sandwich now? Only in name... only in name. But McD's had nothing to do with the Whopper.

Also, Fiat has made ag equipment and heavy duty trucks for ages. It's not like they wouldn't know how to make a good one.

I'm a Ford guy. But I have owned some Ram pickups and mine were flawless with zero repairs and even at higher mileage they were like new trucks. I'd buy another one right now and not think twice about it. Only reason I went with Ford again is fuel economy.

Chrysler was already owned by Cerberus Capital when it went through the bankruptcy in '09 (and they were purchase by Fiat in the wake of it), so that would mean Ram's current generation trucks are ten years old. Somehow, I think not.

Ram may or may not make good trucks (frankly, I don't care), but saying that Fiat has nothing to do with them is just not correct.

BTW, who do you think is making the EcoDiesel they're using in the 1500? I'll give you a hint--it's not Cummins, nor is it Ram.

Back on topic, Dylan, I hope that truck gives you many trouble-free miles.

I went from a diesel to the 150, and love the change. But I don't need a diesel for towing anymore. And I don't miss the operating cost of them. But I will say the coil spring rear end on the ram 2500 makes for a nice ride. Good looking truck.
