On the left is the cooling fan strategy for a 2011 F150...On the right is a 2013 cooling fan strategy...7000 rpm is the maximum speed for the fans and the table values are speed in "percent".

Default WOW>>>Big Difference

Now THAT is a valuable post....thanks!!!

So, my question would be how can I modify the cooling strategy settings to be like the 2011....I have not invested in any kind of tuner....could it be changed via "slapping one on" and only modifying the strategy parameters...could Ford dealerships do the change with their equipment....maybe I can find someone in the Phoenix area that could help!! I do not want to make major mods otherwise, but would pay to RENT the equipment to re-profile those values. PM me please with suggestions.

Anyone who can do a custom tune for you can modify this table...The dealer cant do anything for you with Ford programming modules.

I'd like to get my 2012 A/C plan tuned more aggressively. My A/C cannot keep up even in 90 degree days. I'm forced to continually ride with windows down and dealers have said it's fine 4 times now. Really disappointed in Ford.

The A/C system works better at cooling off the cab with the windows up...

LOL....I guess trucks are like women/men....no two zactly alike. I have been lucky that, living in Phoenix, both my 2011 and 2013 cooled like champs....do not doubt some of the posters that claim theirs do NOT....I also never had some of the intercooler etc. problems with the EB but again, just lucky.

Now if I could get the fan speed program reprofiled back to where I want it.....smile

I have a 2013 and live in Fresno where it is commonly over 100 degrees. I have not noticed what you are describing. I had a 2010 prior and it seems the same to me in regards to fan noise. I find my A/C to be similar to other vehicles in terms of cooling efficiency in extreme heat. I find myself turning it down sometimes because it's too cold.
