Exclamation Snugtop XTR

So im getting my Snugtop xtr installed tomorrow. ive crossed over to the old man stage in life I guess. sigh.......... turning 30 has taken its toll. haha jk. but on a serious note. I ordered this thing back in June and I have a coupon that I printed off their website the day I ordered. it says present at the time of purchase for 100.00 off. well i am an old country hick I guess and took it to mean the day I pay for it is the day I give the coupon. well apparently it needs to be on the day you order it. so buyer beware make sure if your ordering a snugtop to present the coupon to your dealer the day you order your shell. I finally got them to honor it but it took me griping at the owner of the shop, which its really not their fault, but I am spending around 3500 bucks with them in additional accessories so kind of is a good will gesture. and arguing with snugtop. but just wanted yall to know about this just in case. they really ought to change their wording to "at the time order is placed" clear up a lot of headaches and no false advertising. but im pretty excited about the install just hope it all goes to plan and the lights and window all works.

snugtops aren't for old men, they're for men who use their trucks in the outdoors.

On those long duck hunting trips my dog, blind, decoys, tents, guns, ammo, and anything else I needed stayed secure and dry in the back of my truck. I sold my truck with the top but I've been thinking about replacing it.

My dog loved it, shade in the summer and warmer in the winter and always dry.

I can't believe the dealer gave you a hard time, ridiculous. Glad they honored it.

I put a Leer topper on my truck with a BedRug liner- two of the best mods I've done! Enjoy.

I think the XTR is extremely sporty looking. If I were to pick a topper it would be the XTR. 3500? Do you mind sharing what other mods you added? I hit 30 next year so I'm with you brother, may have to do the same.

That Malay have been misleading meant in addition with the other accessories it came to 3500. I got some bed lighting and the fold down front window. But yeah it was kind of a crappy deal. Got told once that money must not mean much to me if I'm buying the snugtop. I just about lost it.

Dose anyone know how much weight you can put on the roof rack of the snugtop XTR. I want to order one but no one will give me a straight answer on weight, and its not in any of the online product descriptions. I want to put a Thule on top to put my luggage in so my animals can have the bed on road trips.

ill be honest man, I wouldn't buy the snug top. after having it for a year im about ready to take it off and sell it. the color doesn't match, after talking with the dealer and snugtop they said it take up to 12 weeks to get it replaced with one that matched. the back window sucks at sealing. and it doesn't line up well with the sides of the truck either. it looks like they spent all this money on development of a nice camper and then got to the bottom and just quit. my father in laws leer camper looks nice and finished out almost seamless transition from the bed sides to the camper. im just disappointed in the quality of the product and the lack of customer service. now im looking at 500 to 850 to have it painted to match my truck.

Don't get me wrong I love the look and had high expectations of this camper but If I had to do it over again id just go with a leer or another less expensive brand and modify it for a rack. or just do a bedcover.
