Default snowplowing with 2011 f150 with (epsa)

any ford techs out there? i would like to plow with my new 2011 f150,i know there are issues with the (epsa system). would a larger alt say 200 amps and an extra battery to run the plow reduce the draw on the rest of the trucks electrical system. i've already upgraded the springs and added timbrens.any other technical solutions would greatly apprecitated as winter is approaching fast!

My dealer says you cannot plow with the 2011 F-150. He did not explain further. Maybe the electric power steering can't handle the weight?

You already have the largest production alternator avaialable at 220A and the largest production battery available, 750CCA/78Ah.

The manual says DO NOT plow with the 2011's. It will most definitely void related warranties since it is stated directly in the manual.

FYI

Default plowing with 2011 f-150

Found this note to service departments for the new 2011:

2011 F-150 Snow Plow Upfit Restriction
Models Affected: All 2011 F-150 vehicles.
Issue:
Snow Plow Prep Package is no longer an available option on F-150 starting with 2011 model
year (refer to SSM# 069-2010-2026). F-150 vehicles with 5.0L and 3.7L engines have Electric
Power Assisted Steering (EPAS). EPAS places high transient load on the electric power system
which was designed and sized to handle this requirement. Charging system performance may
be affected if snow plow equipment is installed on a vehicle with EPAS, resulting in temporary
function loss of some electrical features. F-150 vehicles with 6.2L engine are only available in
Crew Cab body configuration. Previous model year F-150 Snow Plow Prep Package required
Heavy Duty Payload package and associated content, and is restricted from Crew Cab.
If you have any questions, please contact the Ford Truck Body Builders Advisory Service as
shown in the header of this bulletin.

If you are worried about voiding the warrantee or EPAS damage - mount your extra battery (plenty of room 4 it) run the separate charge wire (from the factories battery (+) terminal ) to it going through a on/off switch in the cab - when you plow flip it off & back on to charge when you done or taking a break - this will take the load off the electrical/charging system when plowing. (Thats if the reason for NOT PUTTING A PLOW ON THE 2011 IS THE EXTRA WAIGHT OF THE PLOW WILL OVER STRESS OR STALL THE ELECTRIC "MOTOR" UNIT INSIDE THE EPAS. The extra bat will not solve that problem)
