Snow tires - yes I know it's August!
Yeah, I know it is August, but i also know it is often necessary to get snow tires order in early!.
I live in the mountains so for me snow tires are an essential , normally from Dec-April, to avoid any need for chains. Around here we may have to deal with deep snow as well as clear pavement for a lot of the winter. Temperatures do not typically get as low as the Ice Coast though.
Question - what snow tires have forum members run on their F150s, what sizes and how did you like them?
These will be going on my FX4 157 EB. Currently running 20s, but will also consider 18s as I will be getting an extra set of wheels for them. And no, i am not looking for an A/T tire, I am looking for a proper snow tire.
Thanks!

I run Coopers on my wife's van and it made world of a difference. If I were to get one for myself, it would also probably be Cooper Discoverer M+S or Weathermaster S/T2.
So far the brand has performed well for me and didn't cost me a ton either.

I have Blizzaks for my F-150 on 265/75 17's and Blizzaks on my Expedition, my Excursion i have Cooper M+S studded. I've also run Firestone Winterforce studded in the past. all are great snow tire options.
we don't salt the roads here, so snow tires hardly get any wear on them as the roads are ice/snow packed. unless you drive on them in the fall/spring too long they last 4-5 seasons here.

no, we don't need to have studs and I am not actually a big fan of them. However you are right we do have some nasty stuff but the challenge is we can also gave dry spells which as you know can also rip up snow tires quickly. I have been using blizzaks on my previous q7s and they are good but they do wear pretty quickly. I had fire stones on my explorer in the past and they were surprisingly good. I will admit to being pretty heavy on tires as it may be a truck but I still push it pretty hard up and down the pass so interested in what has worked for others
