I hated the hack look as well, I am an aviation sheet metal mechanic, and have been fabication metal for many many years, and I hated cutting this out. I am not in the oil field and do not have all my tools with me, but as soon as I get home, I am popping this thing back out and blending and smoothing all the edges properly!! Even though you cannot see it, I know it is there, and it bothers me A LOT!!
I work aircraft too. Had to get out of the production side. Some of the things I saw them doing looked really sketchy. Lol. Definately tell the people that know sheet metal vs the idiots with a sanding disc.
Guys, after the second event with Smittybilt made in China crap, I decided to let them order me the X metal, which by the way is MADE IN USA!, and I am telling you what! It looks and fits 1000 times better and is a very painless install. The way it looks, fitment, packaging, and the engineering put into it are far superior! If I could go back and change it, I would have ordered this one from day one! It is a little more pricey, but not nearly as much as an RBP, which still fits on the outside of your shell and rubs paint constantly. This one actually recesses into the grill shell and looks like it was made to go there! LOVE IT!!

YESSSSSS you can! I just returned from Hajiland. I have been working Army Aviation for the last 2 years overseas. Now I am home and out of the planes and into the oilfield! lol
