So.. not sure if OP is directing this video towards the ongoing posts about smelly AC systems, but there is a huge difference between a musty / mil-dewy smell, and a cow manure smell. Just saying.

I've lived in hot and humid Florida for 23 years and I've never experienced a musty/mildew smell coming from the A/C of any of my vehicles. Thankfully that's the case because shutting the A/C off for the last mile or two of your drive would suck, here in Florida as soon as the A/C is off the inside of a vehicle starts to cook!

Any way I figured I would pass it on, if you think it is helpful go for it, if you think it is full of crap, well just pass on.

Exclamation

I been doing that for years, never have had a smelly a/c smell.

I turn the a/c off about 2 miles before I get home, and FAN on high.

That's pretty well common sense in a way that it lets all that condensation/sweat/moist environment kind of dry out...

I don't think we have to worry about this issue here in San Antonio.. Its hot and generally lower humidity. I very seldom notice condensate from either of our vehicles. Maybe a small puddle at the most, yet my dealer is always wanting to clean my condenser for a quick $189, of course I always refuse.

I have to post a picture of that mold killer, I sprayed a few months back into the system through the outside vents.
I did have, what seemed like a combination of both the "band-aid" smell and the "musty odor" on start-up.
It's been a few months now and I have not smelled it again since.

I to have never had a problem before. I have owned a 04, 06, and 2010 F150 never had an order issue besides your normal AC smell. My manure smell started on my 2013 in the winter. This odor is not your typical musty AC smell. This stinks like you drove thru a manure field and got it inside your engine. Many people are having the problem and Ford has updated the evaporator for the issue. So while I do turn off my system awhile before parking I can tell you that there is an issue bigger than that. My evaporator was just replaced and I am crossing my fingers that its fixed.

Are you sure the evaporators are updated? My service writer said new ones have same part number.
