Probably because the majority of F150s live their whole life never having towed nor being driven in the dirt, so backlash about Ps would be minimal, totally worth the savings per unit. I have the stock wrangler Ps on mine and have both towed and 4x4ed and driven in lots and lots of snow. I never found them wanting for that much.

I think that might be what's happening here. from STingray1300's experience, he has never once ran into an situation where larger tires did not result in decreased fuel economy, so it makes it hard for him to imagine it could. then, presented with a theory on how it could, he's backed into a corner from his previous statements.... I've been there and I'm sure we all have. the link i posted shows that it is not always true that larger tires = increased rolling resistance... i'm sure it would be easy to find a dimensionally larger tire that weighs more than the stock tires. these together refute STingray1300's claims on why he believes that larger tires always = increased rolling resistance and decreased fuel economy.
I was just coming in for comedy relief

but isn't the role of a comic relief to say or do something funny that we can all rally behind and forget the reason that we're all having such a heated discussion in the first place? forgive me but I saw no such comment nor action. with that said I do like you choice of emoji.
