What about when you tow on your stockers? Does it still behave the same way? Because a load behind the truck exhibits a lot more strain than bigger tires.

Also to each their own on tuning a N/A engine. There really isn't much to be gained besides a slight change in throttle response and adjustments of shift points. So, suggesting this is normal is not remotely true as I've never heard this happening unless something was wrong.

Can't find stock 20 inch info, but the mavs weigh 32 pounds
Yes as I stated before. Everything returns to normal with the stock setup. Further more I have towed a 6000lb travel trailer from California to Wa state and back to Colorado with no issues. Those aren't sissy hils along the way either. And when I tow it here in the Rockies w my stockers it pulls like a Boss. Nothing wrong with it, its the tires and rims! I also wouldn't necessarily agree that a tune only helps with shift points. I've seen some guys on here post some very impressive dyno numbers related to hp and torque! Honestly if the tuner only helps w my shift points, problem solved!
Thanks for the help guys. Wonder if anybody has tried a claim w the 5 star Warranty yet? Be interested to know?

This actually got me thinking now? If it shifts normally while towing under heavy strain w stockers, does the tow haul button have anything to do w this? Is it changing the shift points like a tuner would? Now that I think about it that's exactly what it feels like it does. If so then no doubt I need a tune for the mudder's.

Tow haul holds shifts longer. And uses engine braking on decent to control speed so you have to brake less.

Read that it downshifts downhill to spare your breaks duh! But yes I also read it changes shift points and keeps the gear longer. Cool, no wonder there were no issues towing.
