Motorkote Is good stuff. A good amount of truck drivers use it. I do in all of my vehicles. I noticed after putting in in my wife's car. When i changed the oil in my the car less metallic in the old oil then before me using it. You can go to www.Motorkote.com and look at the test of the different additive's.

I noticed that the car starts faster and run smother with it in it. I have nothing to do with the company. I only know from what I can see and hear my self. I know about it due to being a truck driver. as far as I know you can only buy it online or at a truck stop.

It seems to me slick 50 used to be prehaps 20 or more years ago a molybdenum base product that a treatment lasted 75,000 miles. Then it was something else perhaps Teflon based can't remember. I went to their site yesterday and they are rather vague as to what it is but you use 20% of it at each oil change. Not sure if they had a 5w20 option or if it would matter. From time to time I will spend a bit extra for a tube of grease to get the MoS2 on the side. The oil itself keeps getting letters farther along the alphabet after the s. I remember the pretty blue sa oil. I don't think it all was that pretty blue but haven't seen that lately.
As for running with no oil. I find it really hard to believe the stuff one guy who set up demolition derby cars for his son tells me. The evidence is sprinkled around in the woods and photographs though. If I remember right they took the oil and coolant and ran it wide open or at least at at high revs for a certain amount of time and if it passed they had a good engine for that purpose.

If you go to bob is the oil guy, you will find that many, if not all of these "additives" are base stock oils that actually dilute the lubricant and detergent qualities of your oil. Don't use them, plain and simple. My last F-150 had 289000 on it, and I still used Pennzoil platinum, no leaks, and it ran loads better than my buddy with the same configuration who swore by Lucas. It's all junk. Use a good oil to begin with and don't waste your money on the bull****.
