The Sirius in my truck sounds like garbage too, so I stopped using it completely. I now use the Sirius App on my iPad and the sound quality is amazing. It lets you choose between 3 different sound quality settings. I use the highest setting. Hell, even the lowest quality setting on the app sounds way better than the truck version.

I too am not happy with the quality of Sirius XM in my '14 STX. Her Chrysler 300 sounds WAY WAY WAY better, exact same channels exact same programming. I want to believe it's the head unit. I did test the Sirius app blue toothed to my F150 vs the radio, and the app is one song behind and sounds only slightly better.

Mine sounds horrible too, which is why I've never subscribed. The free trial convinced me it wasn't worth it
