Just curious. Just recieved a welcome back offer-5 months for $19.99 w/0 activation fee. The fine print says "must call to cancel at the end of the welcome back subscription offer or the standard rate will apply-other fees and taxes will apply) Anyone know what the fees and taxes are. Probably vary by state?

Whatever you do --- do NOT give them your credit card number. They will automatically renew you at the end of your subscription time at the highest rate, bill your credit card for it, and you will play holy heck with them to lower your rate after that!
Go month to month and have them bill you by mail, and mail in a check.

I cant stand this company. They are so unorganized. Theyve contacted me no less then 25 times in the last month after I told them to pound sand. BEWARE.

I had to block their phone number thru my phone carrier. They'd call 3 times daily.

I'm getting phone calls from them asking me to give them a new credit card # to bill. I did a one year renewal last year, and used my credit card at that time. Since that time, I have since traded my truck (09 F250) in for the new F150. I have also changed rewards programs with the CC company, so my account # has changed. I had maybe a few weeks remaining on my paid year of Sirius. Honestly, transferring my few weeks of service wasn't even worth the phone call, I just figured it would be a free benefit to the person who bought my trade in. (Ironically, it was sold 24 hours after I traded it) So Sirius apparently attempted to bill my CC # for another year of service, and it declined since the account # was changed.

I told them that the truck had been traded in and not to worry about it. The girl didn't seem to understand. She said I have an existing balance since they "auto renewed" it, and the transaction declined. I told her to get lost. So far, I haven't heard back since then.

As for the advice about paying them by check, GREAT ADVICE. It should save a lot of BS. I'm sure they get away with quite a lot of auto-renews that people don't even catch.

They told me they MUST have a CC on file, they could not do month to month. Whether they lied to me or this is thier practice, either way its still shady.

Oh ya, half the time they call and no ones on the other end of the line so I cant even yell at em! lol. SO ANNOYING.
