Side Raptor Decal on XLT: Thoughts
Hi, I like that mud splash decal on the sides of the Raptors. I have an XLT SuperCrew, not a Raptor. Would it be proper to place such decal on a XLT? Could there be backlash from the Raptor community saying I'm a wannabe, Or should I just keep moving along with the 4X4 decal in place and keep saving for the Nav system I want.
I have seen some decals available on Ebay. Has anybody applied one to your F150 other than the Raptor ? If so can you post a pic and give tips as to how it applied/looks.
Colors I'm considering if I do this mod is Grey, or Black.
My F150 is a 2010 XLT SuperCrew, Color: Sterling Silver.
Here is a link to what I'm talking about.

Cheers

Now, if you think it looks nice, and you don't care what other people think, I dont see any real issue with it.

I think you know the answer to this question. Like putting "Turbo" on a N/A car. I imagine you would receive comments like "Does that sticker allow you to jump your truck as high as a Raptor?"

Five-0 Ret.
FourX, if I were you I wouldn't give a crap what anybody said. It's your truck, so mod it as you wish. I do agree, this forum cost me money everytime I turn around.
With a decal that large it might be better if you find someone with experience to help apply the thing. Your dealers body shop may even help you out for free. Never know.

I say go for it! Of course, you will get flak from the Raptor owners and they will call you a poser, but who cares. It's not like you're putting 6.2 badges on it or something, so it's not really "false advertising" IMO. There simply appearance graphics.
Oh and I agree with the previous post, I would definitely have something that large and complex done at a professional body shop! Vinyl can be tricky to deal with when you have different body contours and such. I would hate to spend hundreds on graphics only to destroy them trying to install them!
