It refuses to re-calculate the route FOR A LONG TIME trying to turn you around if you want to take another road that you ALREADY KNOW gets to your destination. Honestly, if I don't already know generally where I am going, it is useless. So I use my I-phone-which is now illegal in many places....(using it for nav/texting etc.)

Using MFT in general is terrible. I have the latest updated version too. I have about a 70 percent failure rate just trying to use it to make a phone call. It never recognizes the names in my phone book.

ME: Phone
MFT: What command
ME: Call
MFT: What number
Me: Laura _______

Then I get the dreaded ding dum, "you can say blah blah blah". I then give up.
It's also important to remember that your car only knows your contacts by their name in your phone address list. I tend to put people in my contacts with their full name. I've found if I want to refer to "Robert L" as "Bob", it's helpful if I add "Bob" as their nickname in my address book.

If you set it close, I think you find your way from there on your own.

Never mind the insurance and registration cards in the glovebox listing your address....

The newest SD Card is the A5. That is not included in any MFT update.
The newest software is Gen2 V3.6.2

I had the same problem in my 2013 FX4. The navagation system 'sucked' at first. I called three different Ford dealerships and got everything from "no fix at this time" to "you changed your tire size" as excuses for the problem. So what do I do when my computer or iPhone start giving me a problem....I reboot. So I turned on the lights and then disconnected the negative terminal (turned the lights on to assure that the system was drained of power). Let it sit for about 5 minutes and hooked it back up. That was four months ago...and the navagation has been dead-on ever since. No getting lost, no off-roading, no nothing that aggrivated the crap out of me at first. Try it, because even though Ford "doesn't have a fix for it"; this will fix it.

Did this 8 months ago after putting on my larger tires. Works perfectly.
