Looks awesome, were these an upgrade from factory fx4 boards or you didn't have boards? Do these give more ground clearance? Do they stick out further? Comparatively how are they for actually using as a step? I think I'd prefer powerboards but they're even more expensive than the raptors

A buddy of mine with a raptor has them (obviously) and they rock. They're fantastic for stepping in, protect the side of the truck well, and look great.

I didn't have factory FX4 steps, but have the Rampage Stirrup steps. I like them, but would love a raptor set. They also give a kind of side splitter look.

I did have boards when I got the truck. I am wondering if they were even FX4 boards, p/n on the was 9L3Z-16450-FA. I don't know, but they didn't look like they were ever removed. Maybe they were just put on as an accessory from the dealership?
They do stick out further but they have a curved profile if you're looking down, it provides a nice step. Widest area is at the cab door. They are covered with Linex (or some similar brand) and the grip on them is rock solid. The construction on the Raptor boards is also much beefier then any factory boards I've seen.

Completely agreed, the grip on these is awesome!

Hmm the old ones don't look like my 13 fx4 boards, maybe they were more generic 150 dealer options like you said. Edit, or they may have been different versions on fx4 for years, I saw an 11 locally with boards similar to yours

There's also these raptor styled ones from go rhino. They also have an option for an extension step. $495 though.
