Default My new pick up

Just got this baby. Sorry if the pic won't go through. New user (newly returned) and on iPhone.

2011 f150 ecoboost Fx4 long bed (normal length but long for super crew)
Some mods you can see in my profile. But mainly some cheapo American eagle 18" rims and nice new Nitto Terra Grapplers. So quiet and super smooth ride.

All leather inside (first f150 with leather) and I can say it's so luxurious. Can't believe it.

Had all black rigs before but I've always loved the sterling gray with paint matched bumpers.

truck looks great! Aren't you concerned about blocking the air flow to your turbos with that light bar?

Default Lower air dam blockage

From what I've read and researched it is blocking air to the transmission inter cooler. Also there have been issues with the transcooler working "too well". In fact at points ford recommended blocking airflow with plastic dams to the transcooler due to condensation issues. I monitor my transmission temps closely and have not been above normal ranges.

However I am new to the ecoboosts and will take any advice I can use! Any recommendations?
P.s. I bought the truck this way. I wouldn't intentionally do it but also don't want to take it out either.

Mike-
I think you are slightly confused. it is the intercooler that sits behind that opening and it is the intercooler that ford says "works too well" and is adding the plastic covers and such to.
there are actually 2 trans coolers on these trucks. an internal one which is part of the radiator and an external one which is mounted to the front of the radiator/condenser about mid way from top to bottom directly behind the main grille.

Default PTM Bumpers

Has anybody found the vinyl that supposedly matches sterling grey really well? I'm on metrorestyling.com right now but I found a couple different close ones and I'm not sure which one really works well. My back bumper is starting to rust on the front by the back wheel and my front bumper is starting to rust where rock chips hit, I'm thinking if I sand those areas down and prime it to prevent more rust and then vinyl wrap I could hold off on the 300 bones per bumper to get them repainted. Any advice? Thanks guys

Sigma Pi sent me this a while back. Haven't done the project, yet. But he said you can't really tell the difference.

Hi, this is what I used:
https://www.signsplusbanners.com/ite...Metallic+Vinyl

Oracal 951 series #936 Silicon Metallic.

http://www.signsupply.com/Vinyl/Oracal/951M.asp

I hope that helps.
