Thanks guys for not slamming me too bad for switching teams. I loved my Ford and I'd still be in one if they had wanted to sell me a truck. I just happened to be able to bend the Dodge dealer over his desk on a REALLY nice truck. I honestly am still not sure how I got away with it. I'm still finding features on this thing I didn't realize I had raped them on. Now is def the time to buy a truck with the 2013's coming in.
I DID test out an Eco, but I wasn't super impressed as I thought it was VERY similar to my 5.0. I also had this terrifying vision of being 5 years down the line and crying as turbo bearings were flying around inside my hood.
I always had a bad taste about Dodges myself for an unknown reason, but once I tried one, I can't complain about this truck at all. It has a lot of nice features that even the FXs didn't. It is a well thought out vehicle and when I romp on that gas pedal I have to grin every time. And hey! It's still grey!

but i bought a brand new 2010 5.4L 4x4 XLT 5.5box.
why? because dodge wanted me to drop 15 500 down on a 2007 mega hemi 1500. sticker on the truck was 25 500. i was so pissed that i walked to ford, test drove it back to the dodge dealership and asked for my 15k back. looked at the ford saleslady as they handed it to me and handed it straight to her and said. "is this enough for you?" she replied "this is much more than enough."
i may go back to dodge after the truck is paid off... i may keep it and give it to the gf and get myself a fully loaded cummins crew 3500. who knows?
one thing i do know is.... the entire carpet in the back of the cab is just as clean and new as the carpet under the center console. and this Nov marks 2 years of me owning the truck. i bought it late in Nov 2010, so its one of the few 2010's i see still under the bumper to bumper warranty.
but if i dump the ford... ill still stick around. there's always someone on here who needs help.

It's been real fellas, I've appreciated all of the input, help, and mod info. Take better care of your F series than I did!

I hear ya! Chrysler bought back our new grand Cherokee in June... Service dept alone is a reason not to own dodge in my town but I just bought another one and traded in the 150...

Any ram worth having doesn't have an option for the v6. He said at the beginning he got the sport that only comes with the hemi. V6 is a dog.
