Maybe mount it between the headliner and the rear view mirror? Run the wires through the headliner.

Not sure if you mean the BR990-type switch, but I'm not sure that would work...

Although the switch is relatively thin, there are big connectors and some heavy gauge wires coming out the back. You would need either open space or some holes drilled behind the switch panel.

Though if you want something similar, fully programmable, with a completely flat touch panel, wired hdh makes a cool switch.

Similar in functions to the 990, but the relay/control box is separate, connected by a flex-circuit board. Fully programmable, etc. But EXPENSIVE (about $400).

You speak very logically. I suppose if I buy that I will use the pocket under the radio.
