Default Should I Trade???????????

Currently I own a 2009 F-150 Super Crew Lariat 4X4 with the 5.4 V8. It has 82,600 miles. I came across a 2012 F-150 Super Crew Platinum 4X4 with the 3.5 ecoboost with 40k miles. This truck has the 3.31 axle ratio when mine has the 3.55. The 2012 is selling for 39,900. Is that a good price or should I stay away from the ecoboost.

Thanks for your help.

I'd go get a new FX4 for the same price.

Got my 2013 fx4 for 38500 before tax title and fees (msrp 52k). The incentives are great right now. You can get a new truck for the about same price

x100

I would pick up a new 2013 - they are $12k+ off sticker right now. Used truck prices are ridiculous (good news for your trade-in tho).

BTW - love my ecoboost, it's an early 2011, would choose again in a heartbeat.

Should I Trade???????????-f150.jpg2013 lariat eb 3:31 gear 4x4, bought new in may for about that price, perhaps a tad less, the sticker was 46,995. I'd go new if anything. I'd sell mine for 39,900 today.

I agree with hardcore. You can do a new FX4 for that price. If you decide you want this one, it would be a good idea to check the service records (any Ford dealer service writer can do this), just to make sure this one doesn't have the CAC problems. Good luck.

You can almost do a new Platinum here in TX for that price. I bought mine in August with the 3.31, minus 4wd, for just over 40k. 2013 gets slightly bigger turbo internals, single BOV setup, MFT, etc so the upgrades were worth it for me.

When you can get all that with zero miles on it for 40, why pay 1,000 less for 40,000 more miles without some of those model year upgrades? Price is too high on that one!

Are you saying once you go on record with a CAC issue our f150 our un sellable or difficult to sell? Only good for trade in's? I've wondered about that.

No sir. Just saying it's a good idea to know what problems the truck may have had.
