Default Should i get duratracs or Toyo Open country MT"s

I am torn on which tire to get, duratracs are great in all seasons including ice and snow, which would be great since I live in Saskatchewan Canada. But I love the look of the Open country MT's, both are available in the size I will be running, which is 275/65/20. From what I've heard is a MT tire sucks in snow and ice, or is it just all talk. I have never had a MT tire on a vehicle that I've owned. Also my truck is a 13 fx4 with 2" ready lift level with a 3 inch block in the rear. Both are about the same money so need opinions. Or reviews on who has used either of these tires in ice, snowy conditions.

Finally, a post from a fellow Saskatchewanian! I purchased a set of Duratracs for my truck this past August after reading the great reviews on wear/all around traction and because I like the aggressive look to them. Even though I haven't had the chance to try them in the snow and ice I would still recommend an AT vs a MT for our climate. MT's are made of a harder rubber compound; when paired with freezing temperatures and icy roads you will have less traction than an AT. Not to mention the road noise will be louder running a mud tire.

Another great option for a Canuck is the Goodyear Territories...these are exclusive to Canadian Tire.

I ran them on my 2009 f-150 and loved them....And i just got them installed on my 2013 FX4.

The great thing about Canadian Tire is if you catch the sale they are- buy three get the fourth tire free.....Which means 25% off....thats what i did! And they are still on sale!

These also have the winter approval. Well worth the look!!!

Right on, good to know, I think I will be buying duratracs then, I can get the 275/65/20's from discount tire direct to my door for like 1400 bucks tax in, here in Saskatoon they want 440 a tire plus tax and all the fee's. Thanks for the info.

The Duratrac will out perform the MT in the snow and ice on road.
Between the two, definitely the Duratrac.
