I was planning on buying a 2013 fx4 at the employee pricing in august, Or should I wait for a 2014 truck, any thoughts on what 2014 will bring for these trucks.

If you're waiting until August 2013 to buy, I wouldnt get either one. The 2015's will be out fall of 2014, so just wait one more year.

If you do wait till 2014 atleast you will have a choice between the current model and the next generation 2015 F150. I'm kinda stand-offish about this 2015 model for now, to much talk about smaller engines and lighter trucks. Thats just my ¢2

I'd wait until they reveal the concept next month. Then you can decide whether you like the next design or not. That's my plan..

OP, two things you must keep in mind here. The '13 and '14 will be in their later years of production run. All problems are known and hopefully dealt with.

If you are considering the redesigned '15, you will be dealing with all the fresh design problems that will come up. IMHO, I would go for the '13 and enjoy it. This forum will be loaded with the comments on '15 design problems in a few years. Don't be one of those. Remember, the first production year of a redesigned vehicle is never trouble-free.

I absolutely love everything about my 2013 FX4 except the stupid MyFordTouch Sync system. They supposedly have updates coming out for it though.

Get the 2013! Don't get the new body style. I made that mistake in 2003 and got the 2004 with the new body style. It has had so many problems! It is not fun to deal with! Get the 2013 with most of the problems are fixed
