8 foot bed and 2 seats.

I use my truck to haul stuff not people.

Long enough to carry stuff but still fits in my garage.

I went with a supercrew and the 6.5 foot bed. They are kind of hard to find in my area. I see hundreds of crews with the 5.5 for everyone that is 6.5. I have a family and i haul lots of stuff. But for me it just looks more proportional to the size of the cab. Just my 2 cents.

Does fodr make the short box 5'5 in the crew cab? Is the turning radius shorter? I have a long box and it is difficult to park downtown. I am looking at higher end models.

the 5.5ft box is most common with the crew cab. I see at least 50 5.5ft boxes for every 1 6.5ft crew cab f150 (09-14 years)

Default Short box

I want to know how much shorter the turning radius is on a short box verses the long box. My long box is hard to park downtown.
Thanks.

6.5 for a work truck and 5.5 for a toy.
to be fair i wanted the 6.5 on my 14 just cause i moved pallets. even though the 2 full pallet load was rare. the 5.5 is ample for most truck owners. the 5.5 is easier to park and do a u turn in. i'm still overdriving the 5.5 for parkiing or turning 2 weeks in lol

47' for a 5.5' box and 50.4' for a 6.5'.

I'm on my second short bed. When I bought my '13 new they had two identical trucks, except for the bed length. I drove the 6.5' truck for the test drive and had them park the two side by side in the shop for me to decide. I ended up going with the 5.5' truck at the time.

When I bought my '14, I chose the 5.5' bed again for parking reasons. I currently have to park in a parking garage and even the 5.5' bed barely fits in there. I have to back into my space and pretty much put the bumper to wall to fit and it still sticks out a little further than I'd like. If I had a 6.5 ft bed it would be a major pain, so I'm glad I went with a short bed again. I recently installed an oem bed extender to help with any time I need some extra length, which is rare.
