I think the problem is that you haven't checked out the Extand Solid Fold yet. THERE's the solution you're looking for.

Biggest POS ever. Can't wait to get rid of mine. I haven't even had it 2 years and I'm on my 3rd set of foam gaskets. Moisture ruins them. I've also broken a couple plastic hinges. I guess it's a good cover if you rarely open it. I use mine daily.

FWIW - I mentioned in my initial post that I had broken the two rod clips and would contact Bak Industries Customer Support. They replied in less than a day that replacements would be FedEx'ed to me the same day. Pretty darned good support I think.

Wow, this is like the Bak thread. I had nothing but trouble with my BakFlip but never any problems like you're saying on my Extang. The gaskets have held up almost 3 full years now. And yes, I open the cover almost every day at least once or twice.
