I haul alot of stuff in my bed & I can't see how when the Backflip is folded up that the obstruction of the rear window doesn't get on your nerves... plus is vibrating on the rear roof pillars.

I love my LO PRO QT

Honestly most Tonneau covers are not "Fort Knoxx" the ones that sit above the bed are easily pried up as well. They are more of a diversion "out of sight out of mind" if anyone wants in bad enough they will get in. You need to look for functionality and water tightness. Storing valuables in it for any length of time is at your own risk.

Tonneau covers aren't for security, any of them can be pried open. I had the Peragon on my last truck, and got the Fold A Cover for the new one, nuff said. The Peragon is a little sleeker, but you can't put anything taller than 11 inches at the very front of the bed. In cold weather it was hard to open, and in really hot weather (100-110deg) you have to wear a pair of heavy gloves to keep your hands from being burned when you open it. The Fold A Cover is less than one quarter of an inch taller than the Peragon, seals much better, easier to open and you can almost completely fill the bed and still open and close it.

Went from peragon to bakflip fiber.

Fiber is more scratch resistant, cooler to the touch, easier to open, seals better and easier to install.

The peragon costed less and better security. When you take it out it should fit in your backseat.

I would not buy peragon again because of the lost bed space. My new truck has a foot shorter bed (5.5 vs 6.5) and with the bakflip i feel it has the same usable space.

As for the cover blocking your window, if you need it folded like that, you are prolly hauling something that is blocking your window anyway. You can drive with it partially open if you are hauling wood.

BakFlip for me. 2 1/2 years and 50K miles later I still dig it and would get another next time.

I just broke both arm clips so giving their customer service a test.

+1 for the Flex. The newer gen's are just as nice as the backflip fibermax. My dad has the bak flip and he loves it too. But really to me the Bak Fibermax and the Undercover Flex are pretty much the same so get whichever is cheaper. I just picked up a Flex for 680 shipped. The only thing I don't like about the flex is the plastic clamps at the front (can't remember what bak uses). That is the first mod I am going to do when I get to my dad's mill, make some alu clamps for the front.

As for opening it all the way and driving. I have never had that problem normally i open a panel or two for things like lawn mowers where the handle sticks up. If you need all the space take it off, and really if you need all the space won't whatever you are putting in your truck be blocking your view just as much as the cover would?

As with all the stuff we do we tend to over think and over engineer out of fear of the unknown, not a bad thing just the truth
