exactly, also an alignment is required afterwards too. Also even with those renta spring compressors, it can still be very dangerous to do this. so I say take it to a place to have it done. even if it just is the whole coil assembly.

Alignment is recommended not required unless the lower control arm to crossmember mounting bolts are disturbed.

Thats right I was thinking on my car where the strut bolts via oblong holes to the steering knuckle. Or they have those cam style bolts.

I had an alignment on mine just after the install. I had the front lifted 1.5" via the Bilstein 5100's.

Good info here. My truck did not feel bouncy...I just found the shock wet with oil and took it in. Got a new one on there now...rides the same as far as I can tell. No alignment. Under warranty.

Default Maybe a stupid questions

2012 F150 FX4
i have a rancho lift on my truck. Struts and bearing plates are claimed to be going out from a local alignment shop. So in order to replace these items, what size of struts and coil overs are needed?
