Default shock upgrades?

I have a 2010 5.4 and was looking into shock upgrades, not looking for a complete lift tho, i already have a levelling kit in the front and was wondering what everyone is running for after market shocks. Best bang for buck kinda deal, i don't really haul anything heavier then a sled/quad or at most a 16 foot in closed trailer with two sleds maybe 2 times a year

Default shock upgrades?

I just got the Icon coil overs 2.5 inch boar they have an adjustable 0-3 inch lift on them I love them so far! They are so nice! The ride is amazing so good in fact that now I can feel how bad the rears are and it looks like I am going to have to get icons for the rear also. I like how beefy they are the build quality is amazing. They are not to flashy like others that are bright red or blue. In stall was super easy. And all the hardware was of high quality also.

Mind if i ask the price on those icons? I'd like to do that set up, get rid of the leveling kit and get a full strut lift, I've seen the pro comp and fox leveling kits also but they are priced, Rancho quick lift was another i seen along with bilstein shocks

I also have the Icon 2.5s but you'll be looking at about $1200. I hear good things about the Fox 2.0 coilovers, theyre much cheaper. I have Fox 2.0 rear shocks and I like them. For even cheaper the Bilstein 5100 shocks are also pretty good.

Yep they cost 1200 I think it's so worth it! I have not seen the fox but the build quality on the Icons is great! And having the extra travel in the shock is great so this does not happen.

And the ride is so much nicer that the hockey pucks on the top of the struts

I don't think $1200+ shocks really fit into what the OP said.

I vote Bilsteins. ~$330 by comparison.

Ummmm off roading.... They were **** aftermarket parts from the pervious owner. They just could not handle the load when the front of the truck came down.
