Default Shifter delamanating?

My Lariat console gear selector seems to be coming apart. I can feel the "wood" getting rough edges next to the chrome middle section.

Anyone else?

Keep on truckin'

Mine appears to be doing the same thing. Only slightly, but I foresee this being a problem. I hope they come up with a leather wrapped solution. Anyone know if I can have it wrapped in leather? That would be awesome!

Mines doing the same thing but very very slightly though. A leather wrapped option would be great.

Same exact problem...noticed it driving home from the dealer with 150 miles on the truck. Can hardly see it, but can feel it, and I know it's not going to get better with time. Leather-wrapped replacement would be nice, hopefully Ford puts something OEM out there.

Have the same problem. Had the truck at the dealer the other day and had them look at it. They agreed something was wrong and have ordered a replacement for me.
We wait for deliver to have it replaced.

Same problem here. Not sure if it really a problem because I can't see anything but can definitely feel something right on the top of the shifter where the wood meets the chrome. Leather would be cool.

I could be wrong. I usually am. But the shifter looks just like the one in my wifes 2008 Taurus X. It is leather covered.
