I have the brown leather as mine is a Platinum but I sat in one with the suede when I was looking and it's very nice...I have 2 dogs so I decided against it plus I didn't like that truck as much. I think you will like it when you go see it

Ya my biggest fear is all the dirt and mud I track when I'm hunting lol - It shouldn't be too bad but I do think pure leather would be easier to maintain and clean

Out of curiosity, with MyFord Touch, can you insert an SD card from a Game Cam and view the pictures? cause that would be amazing for deer hunting lol

The high quality cloth in these is excellent. I prefer it to leather, both of our other cars have leather, meh. Cooler in summer, warmer in winter. And you can still have heated/cooled. The red piping is much nicer than the 2016 version with 2" bars of red.

So glad I switched off the Lariats to the FX4 when I was shopping.

Decals can come off.

There's a couple ways to see pics on the screen. Haven't tried more than changing wallpaper myself, but if nothing else there's a video input that will show whatever.

You're being too picky. The exterior difference between the appearance packaged truck and the non appearanced package is black wheels and hockey sticks. That truck is missing 1 of the 2.... Find someone to trade wheels with and you're all set.

I wanted an fx4, had three colours narrowed down and I waited a over a year. I bought a colour that wasn't on my list because I got an amazing deal.

You're chasing a unicorn. Good luck. The 12-14 trucks are getting more scarce and it's just going to get more and more difficult finding what you want.

I also wanna add like spiky said, decals can come off. I am certain I'm 1 of 2-4 trucks in my city with an appearance packaged truck, crew and a 6.5' bed. It's nice having some individuality in a sea of fx4's.

The lack of decals is unique, I do like them but also like not having them.


Side question, what years got suede inserts and why the hate? My 12 doesn't have suede and the other 12' I looked at had cloth.

I believe 13/14 got the Suede style seats. And 12 has the red stitching but is full leather i think.

There's that same exact white appearance pkg truck that lives down the street from me. he took all the decals off too. It's nice.

The only decal I'd throw back on would be the FX4 ones. I like that decal lol

And I'm content finding something with a tad higher miles or waiting for my dealer to bring one in. I apparently didn't tell him I was open to the App Pkg so he skipped a ton lol dangit. He can get me the same truck and low miles at his cost so I'd be around $30k OTD.

That one I posted is Certified Pre-Owned and they are stuck on their $34k pricing. Then taxes, etc. Too high for me and my payments. I don't want to break $400/mo

DO NOT SETTLE! Hold out for the truck you want...you've waited this long, so wait until you get what you want. It's not worth it to settle for something and then wish you waited and got something different.

The white one you posted and I quoted you said had the appearance package as its only downfall. I'm assuming that's the only downfall. Rims and decal removal is simple and changes the appearance of a truck. I'm asking if that's what you want your willing to pass on something as simple as changing wheels and removing decals?
