"Service Advancetrac" message
HI all,
Tonight while doing a stereo install on my truck, I was running my wires down the passenger side (power/rca/remote) and the advancetrac light popped on. I dont know how I would of blown a fuse, but i check those which were related to the advancetrac and they were ok, I just dont see how anything I did thus far would of kicked that code out.
I have a pac harness for rca/remote out which is plug and play, and I ran a power wire from the battery down to the back seats...i go to move the truck and i have this light in my face. Any ideas on what to look for?

Completely plug in harness other than the single new power feed? Did not cut/tap anything?
Any chance you nicked something wherever you pulled your new wiring through?
All else fails disconnect the battery for a while to reset the comp and see if it comes back.

the plug and play harness has been in for a bit...i know thats not it...its just a jumper harness to create rca's and remote wire like a line out convertor.
I went by over my wiring, i think its safe to say its impossible to of ruined a wire, ect with what i've done, im at a total loss for what happened. I need to "service advancetrac" but i lost my power steering.
Needless to say this has totally scared me off the stereo thing, reguardless as to if it was the issue or not lol

I wouldn't think it has to do with the install. I did mine and installed a new DD HU with no problems.
Hope you get it sorted. Try disconnecting battery for a bit.
