While Ford replaced the engine in my truck, I got to use a base model Focus for a week. It was a huge PITA just to get anything.

When our Caddy ATS goes in for an oil change, we drop it off and get an equal or better loaner for the day with no charge for the car or the maintenance. Same thing for any other service required. We had a loaner for 3 days during the last oil change and a turn signal bulb replacement. Dealer said, "Just bring the car back when you get a chance."

So glad we chose it over the more expensive Fusion Titanium that had less features. I hate dealing with Ford dealerships.

Seriously? 3 days for a oil change and a bulb?

Ahh, thats the difference on my end. I forgot. I have the dealer's CPO extended warranty and they have to give me an equal loaner or rental if not available. So, guess I get better treatment than most.

The dealer had the car ready in about an hour. They give loaners so we don't have to sit and wait.

Three days was the soonest my wife could get back to the dealer. Its an hour away from her work and she got stuck working really late a couple of days. The dealer didn't care and just told her to bring it back whenever convenient. They are close to my work, but I go to work before they open and stay past their closing time everyday.

At least you got a loner/rental set of wheels. You even mention that with dealers around here and they will fall down laughing. Luckily I still have my 2005 to fall back on.

Agreed. When taking my BMW in for service, I get a brand new '14 of what I drive now, while the services are performed for free as well. Mind you I bought a CPO 3 series that cost lest than a fusion titanium also. The ford dealer wouldn't even give me a damn loaner when my heated seats fried and they couldn't figure it out for a week.
