Seriously, an Escort for F150 warranty work?
so my truck is in the shop for a complete right side engine tear down to find the root of a clanking noise (the thought is a bad rod) so well see what happens. since this is after only 1 year of ownership, its covered by warranty.
however, ford is only allocating $30 a day for a rental car for the approx. 2 weeks i will be w/o my truck. Ford is only willing to rent me an escort. i dont see how this is a comparable vehicle or even fair to an owner? what if i needed my truck for work or i cleaned swimming pools for a living?
the end result is, im having to dish out an extra $20 a day for a Tahoe starting tomorrow and i think that kinda sucks. now way cant put dogs, gear, etc. in a little compact car.

this email just in from my ford service advisor when asked why i dont get a similar vehicle:
"Replacement vehicle or even a rental/loaner is not part of the manufactures warranty"

Exactly, warranty doesn't require them to give you a loaner at all. In fact I know for certain it doesn't because they tried to sell me an upgraded warranty so that they would give me a loaner.
