"Bashing, Entitled, etc..."... wow, you sure read a lot out of a few lines of text about someone.
There was no bashing, no name calling, just a stated disappointment. If you think Im some entitled jerk just because of receiving a dinky loaner car, thats your opinion and I can honor it. Maybe you can go slam all the other members that voiced disappointment w/shared similar personal experiences?
I've done business with my dealer for over 30 years. Yes, I guess maybe you could say I felt I was slightly entitled to a loaner car for the weeks of upcoming inconvenience or even just based off decades of my continued allegiance to them? Or perhaps it was the fact I spent $40,000 on a new truck one year ago this month and now its motor is shot? For whatever reason, they responded the best they could and it was appreciated. I will note, even my service advisor admitted it was a crummy trade.
Considering I just started my $30 a day up-charge for the next few weeks for that so-called "loaner" car, you can consider your work here done and can go try and parent some else. I have bigger fish to fry than bickering with you out in Nebraska.

Boost :)
My Platinum is having warranty work done right now and they offered me a Focus as well as per my $30 per day allotment given by my ESP. I wanted something nicer so they found me a Lincoln MK-S (Taurus equivalent) and I'm paying $30 a day until the truck is done. No whining, no complaining from me. I'm glad to have something nice to drive.
Nowhere in any vehicle warranty does it say they have to provide anyone with a comparable vehicle. The ESP's allot that $30 bucks a day to give you the ability to get A to B and hopefully not be too terribly inconvenienced. I work out of my vehicle for much of the year as well and just make adjustments and changes when situations like this arise that require the truck to be in the shop for a few days or weeks if necessary.
Oh and if that vehicle you got happened to come from Enterprise and you signed any documents with Enterprise, make sure you don't have any dog hair or leave any damage from any of your tools or equipment. Animals are forbidden and they charge extra to clean up large messes

Keep sitting on that high horse a little longer and wear that heart on your sleeve, it fits you well. Sometimes we all need a dose of reality, I have had my fair shares too. Go back and re-read your posts(the ones you didn't edit to try and prove a point more) and maybe you will see where I am coming from. No fight intended just trying to make you see the glass half-full rather than empty. I do like fish fry's though, hah.

I have to disagree with most of you in here. He paid for a truck and it is expected that truck works as designed. They are so sure it will work as designed they give you a guarantee for 3 years on it. That guarantee should include a replacement in the event their product has a defect, even if that replacement is temporary. How would you feel if you bought a MacBook from Apple, and when it went in for warranty they gave you a Dell desktop PC to take home and use while the repair is happening.
This guy, like most of us, spent our hard earned cash on this truck and now he has to be without for 2 weeks and possibly has to pay out of pocket to get the comparable vehicle he NEEDS? That should be unacceptable to most. If it is acceptable, they should make different tiers of warranty, so those that find it acceptable can take an inferior warranty and save some cash, while the rest of us pay the regular price (or more) and get proper treatment when the product they sold us does not perform as advertised.
