Default Sending Text messages with SYNC

Anybody got a smartphone that will send texts through SYNC? Last time I looked Motorola RZRs and old phones like that were the only ones that would work with texting.

I have a droid rzr, sync will read to me, but says i have to be in park to send. Haven't tried it. If i am in park, i just pick up the phone and text myself. So, basically, I am no help! Sorry!

Sending and receiving works for me. Samsung Galaxy Note with ICS, did not work with Gingerbread.

Currently running Sync Gen1 - v4.1.4.T.

I don't have my new truck yet. But my 2010 Fusion Hybrid has sync and works fine for two way texting while driving. But for sending I am limited to preprogrammed canned messages. My phone is a Verizon Droid Bionic running gingerbread.

It works on mine also. HTC EVO 4G LTE (HTC ONE X) You have to turn on MAP Messaging on the Sync and on the phone to get it to work. Took me a couple days until I figured that one out. Wasn't in the users manual, unless I just didn't catch it.

I don't use it on my 2011. Most of the time Sync is more like Sunk! Constantly have issues with it. Sync Hot Line has no clue nor does my dealer. Done the up dates, but no change.

Not yet. I'm going to try something on the drive home from work today, but am not holding out a lot of hope.

Reading a text works on my Samsung Galaxy S3 (VZW) but sending doesn't -- or I don't have it setup correctly.
