Default Selling your truck. . . . . . .

So I'm helping a friend sell his truck tomorrow to my brother. Kinda helping them both out.

But my brother and I were talking today and he asked what it'd take to buy my truck. So I'm bored and looked up NADA on my 2010 Lariat Screw 4 x 4 and clean retail shows $36,425. And I can honestly tell you that wouldn't buy it. I'm a realist so obviously if someone offered me like $100,000 its gone but honestly, I'd turn down current market value as it's a one owner and I LOVE it!!!! How many of you feel the same way???

Well if I could sell it for 36,000 and thats what its worth then two winners. Of course everything has a relative value also. Nada gives an average, so figure some are worth 30,000 then some have to be worth 42,000 to get a 36,000 average. Then you have the law of supply and demand, its only worth what a ready willing and able buyer is willing to pay..... For me if I could get retail value then yes I would turn around and buy a Raptor, but thats me........

I like mine; basic 2010 XLT with no problems from day one so if I sold it I'd just have to get another one which would be a PITA trying to find a low mileage mint condition 2010 like the one I've already got. Only a 2010 will do because they went to electric steering after that although I might be able to live with a new 6.2 as they are non-electric.

I think I'd turn down $40k for mine as I know I'd have to turn right around and buy a new one!! And as ticky as I am, I'd prolly buy new again so I wouldn't be helping myself out much!!!!!

I would It is my first truck, and first automobile too, When I went and bought this truck it was one of the first ones they had on the lot being (2010) they didn't have any raptors in stock and since it was my first car i was too exited to wait.. there was too many raptors on my city anyways and I said well ill make tho sone better than a raptor.. of course at that time I wasn't much into off roading, Looking today with my truck having lots of mods being a 2010 having every option I need and some i don't also, also having 7,432 miles and hand washed every week it is brand new, but If i was to be offered around 35-38k for it I would sell it with no regret why because, I bough this truck for around 42k at dealer and have added about maby 10k and have not even started out with suspension yet which is another 5k, so it has turned out to be more expensive than a raptor.. I was gonna get a 2012 last week but they wanted 8k over msrp just for being one of the first on the lot which made me mad and its just nonsense to pay 8k for nothing, but yes, If i was to be offered the right price for my truck I would sell it and get a 2012 race red svt raptor sueprcab with every option possible. because it would be cheaper for me to do so, then to keep adding so it can handle like a raptor.

I'd also like to have a Raptor. With that said, would I sell to my brother for $36k? No. Would I trade into the dealer for $36k? Yes. That's a lot of extra tax incentive.

Considering NADA says my 2011 with 11k miles is worth approximately $100 less than I paid new, I'd sell it in a heartbeat to any fool who wanted to pay that.
