Default security system LED mounting location.

I have my 200 series all installed and working good. The only thing needed to do is drill a hole and mount the LED. Where are you guys installing it? Thanks

I don't want to deal with a potentially binding cable or issues from it. Either that or on the panel where the 4x4 **** is.

I wont be doing that until the spring when temps here are above freezing though. too damn cold to pull apart the plastic parts.

I'm thinking up there in the middle center too.

I attached mine to the bottom of the rear view mirror pointing out so you can see the led flash from outside the truck.

Yeah I saw that in the instructions but wanted to see where others were putting it. I was looking at putting in up by the light sensor in the middle of the dash by the windshield.

Thanks for your response.

Was outside today looking at different places to mount the LED, was thinking of maybe putting it inside the little storage compartment on the passenger side dash, there is a clear view of it when looking inside the truck from the driver window. I'm not sure If I want it to be seen unless your actually looking in....

I put my 200 series in a week ago and I put the led in the tray on top of the dash. Seemed like the easiest place to be drilling a hole for it. Just lift the mat out and there are 2 bolts that hold the tray in and with the glovebox dropped down it's a pc of cake to route it up there.
