Default Strut wont compress.

Guys, I need your help.

This morning I started to install a leveling it on the truck. I got the spacer installed, and turned the strut 180". Now its time to get everything back together.

Here is the problem, I reconnected the steering link, and when trying to connect the upper arm joint to the knuckle, the strut wont compress enough. I got to the point that I used a pry bar and got it together, but i try to jack that side up, and it just lifts the truck. Anyone have this issue?

I use a short ratchet strap to pull the upper and lower control arms closer together.
