Factory Spray-In Bed Liner Issue
The factory spray in liner seems to have been put on too thick at the end of the bed. As a result, it was touching the painted portion of tailgate. 1000 miles later, the paint has rubbed off to bare metal in a couple spots. I filed down the liner a bit, but the bottom part of the tailgate needs to be refinished. Those with the spray-in from the factory may want to check...

I wasnt aware that ford has a factery spray in bedliner sure its not a dealer installed option. If the dealer had it installed the find out who did the work and try to get them to correct it.

I took a look at my armaguard spray in liner today. The shop sprayed it all the way down that lip so no paint is exposed and even covered about an inch of the bottom of the tail gate. I'm surprised ford didn't do this, would have been much better protection. Even if they repaint it, it will get scratched from loading stuff.

Just picked up my 2012 FX4, with factory spray in liner. Dealer said it has a warranty because it's a factory option. Contact dealer and let them know of issue.

The factory don't spray beds...this is a dealer prep item...they have it done local and cover it under a factory warranty..just like when they add a lift to a truck. My Ford dealer has a shop right next door to it..that does this.
