I've been running MPT's race tune as a DD for sometime now and I seriously don't see how it can be topped (safely) my truck is a beast on fire with 93 and that tune.

Sub'd anyway.

Let me start out by saying that I have only run MPT tunes and love them! However, I ran the Omega tune today and after a brief period for my truck to learn the tune... HOLY ****!!! I've never felt my truck accelerate that quick with any tune! And that was with only 87 octane in the tank!

Of course no tune is perfect, but my one and only complaint is that the Omega feels a little more sluggish on the low end. That being said, once once you get into the higher RPM's, hold on!

I'm taking a trip to S. FL tomorrow and will update on how the truck does economy wise.

Have you ever ran the MPT 93 Race Tune? Like RNLCOMP said, that tune is a friggin' beast. I run it daily as well. If this new one is that much better I'll be all over it like a hobo on a ham sandwich.

Edit.... I have the ecoboost so I'm not sure it's available as an option for me just yet.

You know, I initially thought I lost low end power going to 5 star to MPT. Then I went back to stock for a while to pass emissions and I reflashed my 5 star tune and all of a sudden now it feels sluggish on the low end. Flashed MPT and it felt BETTER in the low end than 5 star (Which, it used to be the opposite)

I feel like environmental factors play a very big role in low end power when the truck is in learning mode (roughly the first 100+ miles) and it will effect it a lot.

I'm going to retune with 5 star on a cooler, dry day and let it learn then and see what happens. MPT feels good right now but I hate the shifting.

That's why I ordered MPT and felt disappointed after purchase. Keep in mind that some tuners frequent certain groups and forums and people tend to talk up said tuner's product quite a bit because people in car scenes worship tuners.

Not saying Omega isn't a great tune, im sure its probably great...but i wouldnt expect a crazy difference.

I have a question for you guys with the SCT tuner ... Being you guys arent stuck with canned garbage tunes ....Do you get the benefits from custom tunes when your just driving around town , Im talking about throttle lag and what not ... My Super Chips 87 Perf/tow tune only kicks in at WOT , which I dont do around town or anyplace other than getting on the freeways or passing the so many idiots on Freeways out here in Ca ... I want something that eliminates throttle lag period , not just at WOT ..... From what Ive heard , eliminate the crappy throttle lag and the truck is better right off the bat .... Its about the only thing Im not so happy about with my truck .... almost bought a sprint booster but SC said DO NOT RUN OUR TUNES with a sprint booster ..... come to find out guys do all the time and no problems other than it makes their trucks haul *** without delay ...
