Ok, Im not sure if many of you have scanners in your trucks or CB's, but I want to put my Uniden BC796D scanner in my 2010 S-Cab. Im kind of paranoid about drilling and whatnot. Here are my two thoughts. Option #1, the scanner sort of fits in the storage compartment underneath the dash in the center but I dont think my antennae wire will fit properly there. #2 is I could use the mounting bracket and mount it to the plastic trim just underneath that storage compartment. I was looking at it today and either way I could still fully open my cup holder tray. It is kind of a heavy scanner and Im a little worried about the weight pulling on that trim but it does seem pretty sturdy. Again I hate drilling especially when my truck is only 6 weeks old Anybody have any other suggestions?
