Do you have an android smart phone? If so you can get an app called Torque Pro for about $5 and couple it with an ELM327 Bluetooth obdII adapter. Not only will it let you retrieve and clear codes but also gives you real time data from sensors on the vehicle, works for all obdII vehicles, not just Ford.

This is the one I bought off Amazon
Amazon.com: Excelvan v1.5 Bluetooth Mini Small Interface OBD2 Scanner Adapter Torque Android: Automotive Amazon.com: Excelvan v1.5 Bluetooth Mini Small Interface OBD2 Scanner Adapter Torque Android: Automotive

Not for iPhones.

I don't have a smart phone. A flip phone works for me. Computer works great at nite....So I reckon I will have to go with something like this scanner. Where is the diagnostic port located on the truck? Under the dash like older models ?
Thanks for the help.

The ELM adapter I linked to also comes with software to use on a pc, obviously it would need to be a lap top, but is very limited.

Yes the connector is where it's always been.

Flip phone? Damn! They still make those?

Yep...and mine works good. Can make a call and receive a call. Everybody I know that has the smart phone is looking at it all the time....ha ha ha..I don't want to be bothered with that. The computer at nite (PC) is enough looking for me. Get in about 4 hours every nite and that gets the job done. Daytime is for other stuff.
Thanks for the info on the scan device. Shouldn't really need that as the truck is new with less than 7000 miles on it. If I get a lite, could easily run to Autozone and get 'em to read it for me. Save a few bucks....thanks, Pete

If your going lap dancing try auto enginuity, you can find it on asewave.com. Will do everything and more than most of the Micky mouse stuff. Great site and the guys at auto are great!
