Default Sanding emblem for overlays...

Anybody have any tips or specific grit used? Any info will help before I start. Also, can I order a new emblem from tasca? Just the emblem or is the camera a part of the part? Thanks.

Might want to look at plastidip, just spray over your emblems, then apply your overlays once it has dried.

If u want to sand off the raised Ford script, i would start rough and end at about 320 grit.. maybe 120 grit to start, then 240 then 320. That should leave a smooth enough surface for the vinyl to cover the scratches.

Default emblem

hi i used a body grinder to remove the ford emblem. Then used body glaze to fill in small scratchs. Then sprayed with rustoleum out door flat black paint. Let dry. Put overlay on. Looks awesome .i did my overlay with black back and red ford on my 2012 fx4. I have the apperance Pac did all the blue oval stuff on the truck in black and red to match the fender badges. Cobra
