Default Is this safe?

I have a 2011 F-150 5.0 2WD with 160k miles. I have determined that I have a leaky oil pan gasket. Since I’m changing the oil when I do the gasket I want to run some Seafoam through it to clean the heck out of it but when I think about potential risks, it occurred to me that it could make the leak worse by removing sludge that might have been blocking the leak spots

Anyone have an opinion on it?

Man I've never heard of anyone running seafoam through the crankcase adding to your oil. I wouldn't do it. It's not going to result in any positive change for you

There are several very good motor flushes on the market to run before an oil
change. Seafoam isn't necessarily one of the best. Counting on sludge to stop a leak isn't wise. If you have enough sludge in your motor to stop an oil pan leak??? really that's a no no...

BTW just replaced an oil pan, and both factory valve covers with the new and improved ones. The original ones are what caused my oil pan to leak. No sludge in my engine.
